Asus VivoBook 2021 Repair and Data Recovery
Asus released twelve VivoBook models in 2021: T3300, X1500, TP470, K3400 and eight more. We repair them at component level and recover data from them, in London or by insured courier from anywhere in the UK.

The model number is on the label underneath the laptop, after the word MODEL. The letters that follow it, such as X1504ZA, identify the exact version.

What is inside a 2021 VivoBook
- CPU platforms: Intel 11th gen (H35 chips such as i5-11300H / i7-11370H in the VivoBook Pro line; U-series such as i5-1135G7 in the Flip 14 TP470) and AMD Ryzen 5000H (5600H / 5800H / 5900HX).
- OLED became the headline display in September 2021: VivoBook Pro 14/15 OLED and Pro 14X/16X OLED (2.8K 90Hz on 14-inch, up to 4K on the 16X). Some configurations still shipped with IPS panels.
- VivoBook Pro 16X OLED N7600: 16GB DDR4 soldered with no SO-DIMM slot, M.2 NVMe SSD, and a 120W charger on a 4.5mm barrel plug (not USB-C).
- VivoBook 13 Slate OLED T3300 (November 2021) is a detachable 13.3-inch OLED tablet with a Pentium Silver N6000; the 64GB version uses eMMC and the 256GB version an NVMe SSD.
- Flip 14 TP470: 8GB LPDDR4X soldered and not upgradeable, replaceable M.2 PCIe SSD, IPS touchscreen.

Data recovery from a 2021 VivoBook
When one of these laptops will not start, the files are usually still there. Most VivoBooks store everything on an M.2 NVMe SSD, which we can take out and read directly when the laptop has failed. Budget E-series and Go models may instead have eMMC storage soldered to the board; with those, the data can only be reached by working on the board itself.
These laptops were sold with Windows 10, and many have since been upgraded to Windows 11, which can switch on device encryption by itself. If the drive is encrypted we need the BitLocker recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

Can you recover my files if the laptop will not turn on?
In most cases, yes. On most VivoBooks the SSD can be removed and read directly. On E-series and Go models with soldered storage, the board has to be worked on first. The first look is free.
