Asus ROG 2023 Repair and Data Recovery
Asus released seven ROG models in 2023: GV302, G614, G814, G634 and three more. Three earlier models kept their numbers and changed inside. We repair them at component level and recover data from them, in London or by insured courier from anywhere in the UK.
ROG models released in 2023
The model number is on the label underneath the laptop, after the word MODEL. The letters that follow it, such as GA402RJ, identify the exact version.

What is inside a 2023 ROG
- New 16:10 Strix chassis: Strix G16 G614, G18 G814, Scar 16 G634 and Scar 18 G834 with Intel 13th-gen HX + RTX 40. The 17.3-inch Strix G17 G713P and Scar 17 G733P moved to AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX + RTX 40 but kept their 2021 base numbers.
- Strix G16/G18 and Scar 16/18 have two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 PCIe slots; Scar 16 and Scar 18 commonly ship with two SSDs striped in RAID 0, so both drives are needed for data recovery. Mini-LED (Nebula HDR) panels appear on Scar 16 G634 and Zephyrus M16 GU604.
- Zephyrus G16 GU603 (2023) reuses the 2022 M16 chassis: Intel 13th-gen H + RTX 4050 to 4070, 16GB DDR4 soldered plus one SO-DIMM, two M.2 slots. Zephyrus M16 GU604 is a separate model with two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots and up to RTX 4090.
- Flow X13 GV302: Ryzen 9 7940HS + RTX 4050/4060, 16GB LPDDR5 soldered, M.2 2230 SSD, 75Wh battery, 130W USB-C adapter and XG Mobile port.

Data recovery from a 2023 ROG
When one of these laptops will not start, the files are usually still there. ROG laptops use M.2 NVMe SSDs, and many have two or three slots. Some Strix Scar and Zephyrus models leave the factory with two SSDs striped in RAID 0, which splits every file across both drives. With those we need both SSDs to recover anything.
Windows 11 switches on device encryption on many of these laptops without asking. If the drive is encrypted we need the BitLocker recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

My ROG is not in the 2023 list. Can you repair it?

Can you recover my files if the laptop will not turn on?
In most cases, yes. The SSDs in a ROG laptop can be removed and read directly. If it has two SSDs in RAID 0, we need both. The first look is free.
