Asus ExpertBook, ProArt and Chromebook 2020 Repair and Data Recovery
Asus released five ExpertBook, ProArt and Chromebook models in 2020: B9450, P2451, H500, H700 and one more. We repair them at component level and recover data from them, in London or by insured courier from anywhere in the UK.

The model number is on the label underneath the laptop, after the word MODEL. The letters that follow it, such as B9403CVA, identify the exact version.

What is inside a 2020 ExpertBook, ProArt or Chromebook
- ExpertBook B9 B9450 (CES 2020): 10th-gen Intel Core U-series, up to 16GB LPDDR3 on board, a dual-SSD design with two M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 drives, TPM 2.0, magnesium-lithium alloy chassis, NumberPad 2.0 touchpad and two Thunderbolt 3 ports.
- ExpertBook P2 P2451 is the mainstream 14-inch FHD business model on 10th-gen Core i3/i5/i7 (Comet Lake-U).
- ProArt StudioBook 15 H500 and 17 H700 (April 2020) pair a 9th-gen Core i7 with a GeForce RTX 2060; Asus ships their PCIe SSDs in a RAID 0 array, so both drives are needed to read the volume.
- Chromebook Flip C436: 10th-gen Intel Core, up to 16GB LPDDR3, an M.2 SSD of up to 512GB rather than eMMC, magnesium-alloy chassis, fingerprint sensor and two USB-C ports.

Data recovery from a 2020 ExpertBook, ProArt or Chromebook
When one of these laptops will not start, the files are usually still there. ExpertBook and ProArt laptops use M.2 NVMe SSDs. Several models have two, sometimes set up as a RAID pair, and with those we need both drives. Business laptops often have BitLocker switched on by the company that issued them, so ask your IT department for the recovery key. Chromebooks are different: the files are encrypted to your Google account and the storage is often soldered to the board, so recovery depends on getting the Chromebook itself to start. Anything synced to Google Drive is not affected.
These laptops were sold with Windows 10, and many have since been upgraded to Windows 11, which can switch on device encryption by itself. If the drive is encrypted we need the BitLocker recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.
